Lifeguard II comes from Ann Pickett’s Ahoy series, inspired by her love of the water and memories of spending her summers as a lifeguard—her “best summer job ever.” With sails catching the wind and a lifeguard on watch, the painting is a colorful reminder of those carefree summer days spent at the shore.
